You're not supposed to rub it because it will irritate the skin more than it already is, and cause more pain and take longer to heal.. Beautybasics ::: Favorites I could say to please look at the last response I made to JustAKid, but I'll say it again. Tea tree oil is a highly potent antibacterial. Bacteria can't live in the oil, thus there is no bacteria in it.
