I know Jesus said "an eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth..." etc (was that Jesus, don't take that as fact). All he was saying there, I believe, was not to take revenge. Talljim01 ::: Favorites In the new testament, Jesus voided the eye for an eye rule. He introduced forgiveness for all things. I agree that there needs to be punishment. But the eye for an eye was only OT to show that man was not perfect.
