Description:
For the record, "Crank That" is a prime example of the drastic decline in quality of American popular music. Instead of having songs such as "Hung Up," which reached #1 on the UK singles chart but only #7 on the American singles chart (one of only three countries in which it did not hit #1), which is actually music with singing, Crank That features a talentless imbecile who dances like an ADD-inflicted child looking like an a**-clown with lyrics which do not in any way ascribe themselves to a single functioning use of proper English grammar or semantic usage. It is a shame that "music" like this is popular nowadays. Nota bene, I believe that Dave Chapelle's Lil' Jon is a brilliant sketch and I've tried to contrast it with Crank That for a reason.

Her voice is in no way its original state. Her producers use so many effects that I could sing those lyrics waking up at 5 in the morning after a week of bronchitis and I could sound like that post-production.

Madonna doesn't exactly carry much musical merit either. She very well may have been the beginning of the trend that you describe as a "decline". Hung Up uses annoying, cliché loops and uses the same electronic drum beat as every other song of the sort. Hung up is quite simply under-composed and over-produced.

and Hung Up is a worthless piece of shit put out by producers who dont care about anything but what makes the most money, sung by a strung out hooker from the 80's on ten different pitch correctors, with a shitty techno beat in the background, the reason crank dat is tops is because the beat is tight as shit, the dance is flawless, and the song is remixable to levels never even reached, making it the perfect song for any club, dance, or party
