Description: Paris checked into the Century Regional Detention Facility in suburban Los Angeles late Sunday to begin serving three weeks for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. 18-year-old Seriana Hartmann, a Hilton lookalike, bizarrely offered to "stand in" for Paris for the duration of her time behind bars. Seriana, from Switzerland, even enrolled in an English course to be a more realistic jail stunt double should Paris have taken her up on the selfless offer. Paris is doing "very well under the circumstances" after spending her first night in jail. The 13-year-old jail, a two-story concrete building next to train tracks and beneath a bustling freeway, has been an all-female facility since March 2006. It's located in an industrial area about 12 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles. Hilton's cell has two bunks, a table, a sink, a toilet and a small window. Paris surrendered at the Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles after a surprise appearance at the MTV Movie Awards. Sarah Silverman the host at the awards took a few cheap shots at Paris. During the "going to jail" applause, MTV cut to a reaction shot of Hilton, who was in the audience and looked understandably hurt. "Maybe it will make people less mean to me," Hilton told Barbara Walters of her trip to prison. After the show Paris was escorted to the facility in Lynwood, where she was booked, fingerprinted, photographed, medically screened and issued an orange top and pants, Whitmore said. Her booking photo showed the heiress wearing what appeared to be a V-neck shirt, eye makeup and lip gloss that highlighted a slight smile. Her long blond hair was draped over one shoulder. After checking in, Hilton was given her first jail meal of cereal, bread and juice. The sheriff's department online booking site shows a projected release date of June 26. Singleton said she and other inmates were asleep when Hilton checked in. Around 7 am, they learned Hilton was there when they watched the news. To most of them, it was no big deal. Her lawyer Richard Hutton said his client was coping well after entering Los Angeles County Jail to begin her 23 day sentence under the cover of darkness on Sunday night to avoid a "media circus". Things aren't so bad for Paris though. She's being kept in an "administrative segregation" cell because of her high profile, and still gets out an hour a day, "to be in the module, take a shower and talk on the phone." Dr. Charles Sophy, who has been treating Hilton for eight months, paid a two-hour visit to the jail on Tuesday with the star's lawyer Richard Hutton. According to reports, she has been sobbing in her cell. A high-school dropout, Paris was first noticed as a model represented by property tycoon Donald Trump's agency, then rapidly acquired a reputation as a party girl alongside sister Nicky. It was the release of an Internet home sex video featuring her and then boyfriend Rick Salomon which made her permanent tabloid material. Hilton starred with Nicole Richie in the reality television show "The Simple Life". Last year, she released a music album called "Paris," which peaked at number six on the Billboard 200 chart for a week and then dropped out of sight. In her private life, she has been engaged to male model Jason Shaw and Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis, but both relationships ended in break-ups.
