*watches crazy dance in basement* Dude what have you ate? I want some. :D I was told I was a hippie. Come on I'm clearly not a teacher due to money? That's for damn sure. *opens Batman wallet and moths fly out, one of them falls down due to suffocation* $60,000 is nothing for most but for me its enough. I think of it as this, I'll be earning more as a teacher than as a college student. :P Also I don't set the bar too high, other people do and thats why they get the financial problems.

Thanks for your complement JuciShockwave -- it was very kind. I believe that our Government is directly responsible for a great deal of the apathy, ignorance, and confusion that I see in the current generation. I believe it's because our "servant" Government really doesn't want to see any repeats of this era. They, of course, have complete control over the public schools to use as a vehicle to spew their incessant propaganda to a very captive audience that is forced to listen to it.

The teachers must teach the lesson plan, not the truth or reality. The system can come down very hard on public school teachers if they rebel and divert from the pre-approved "curriculum". Of course, the restrictions aren't the same for post-secondary education and college professors don't need to submit their lesson plans for "approval" by the State or to teach the State's pre-approved lesson plans. But even university professors academic freedom has been restricted somewhat.

Totally. But my job is to teach regardless of the so-called plans. :) This is why students when they get into secondary or university levels can't seem to know how to question or know what questions to ask because those important first years of learning aren't challenged or actually taught well because of the stupid system that tries to blind kids so that they can become successful blind puppets of the corrupt system. Hell kids aren't even allowed to socialize with one another.

Yep, back to the basics: Critical Thinking Skills. The omniscient State is reeeeeally afraid of those! Don't ask (and especially don't even think of) any of those infernal and confounding questions now, oooh, that's baaaad! Kind of throws a wrench in the works, eh? But, glad you're a teacher and it sounds like you're a really good one. And about socialization, what's up with these "play date" things? WTF is that!? Sounds like something for the freakin' neo-Hitlerian Youth Brigage. :D

Yes, yes and more yes. Once more you're right on the money, as they say. Now as for the "play date" thing. I never remembered having that done to me. Soccer moms like play date is a new phenomenon. I don't agree to it because parents are assholes. They will pick and choose who will play with the kids and the kids, particularly young ones, aren't as judgmental as the adults.

Besides that I have bad vibes about soccer moms and dads. They're taking over everything. I mean I could understand the after school programs but coming into my classroom out of no where and telling me how I should teach my class. Many of these soccer parents patronize the kids too much. The kids need someone that treat them with respect and dignity that way when they grow up they will be respectful/dignified adults. Kids are smarter than what parents think.
