Description: Another example of modern theology rewriting history to support a belief system. uziyahuidf: A well read and thoughtful person on Jewish/Christian topics. Excellent videos on this topic. I tend to agree with you on the issue. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=uziyahuidf One needs to question the theological background of those would would benefit by claiming the Ebionites believed in a virgin birth. Some Ebionites, accepted the doctrine of the supernatural birth of Jesus, and worked out a Christology of their own (Origen, l.c. v. 61). It is my understanding that there are no writings claiming that they did believe in such a birth as a majority. Primary or Secondary. We have no primary sources because they were either lost or destroyed. There are no primary sources in support of the idea that the virgin birth narratives were supported by the Ebionites either. However the Early church Fathers as the belief system of the Ebionites grew were clearly upset about something. davediaz57 ::: Favorites 2007-12-21 04:10:50 I wish that you would actually provide evidence in your presentation to back up your point of view. Effective debate that is of value must be back by more specific facts than you offered in this video response. I did like your ending statement and though I don't think it always holds true, I do think it's a useful red flag which holds true more often than not. __________________________________________________
Lockmanship ::: Favorites 2007-12-18 15:43:46 If we have 46 chromosomes contained within our DNA how many chromosomes would it take to prove a virgin aka divine birth? I argue Yeshua [Jesus] had 24... Being Jew, Messianic, Ebionite, Christian, or Muslim ain't going to change the ac-count based on mans logical intellectual standards this is why the wisdom of the earth is just derth and blind to HIS SON' FAITH [face]... __________________________________________________

smadewell ::: Favorites 2007-11-05 22:11:30 Wayman29, I would love for you to obtain a copy of "Jesus of Nazareth - His Life, Times, and Teaching," by Prof. Joseph Klausner (an Orthodox Jew) & search the index for "Ebionites" & then read outloud those pages to the YouTubers (pp. 41-43, 67-69, 374-376). __________________________________________________
