Mosier2 ::: Favorites I never said RP will give you freedom - but his positions are more respectful of personal freedom than any of the other candidates - so he'd put more effort into protecting and expanding freedom. 07-07-27 01:06:23 _____________________________________________________
red5llaw ::: Favorites "Respectful" oooookay. Unfortunately RP would have no support in Congress and the Senate, was he to ever get elected (VERY unlikely)So would be a Lame Duck President. 07-07-27 02:46:40 _____________________________________________________
Mosier2 ::: Favorites Yeah, I've wondered about that too. If elected, would Congress go along figuring there was a public mandate and that they'd lose the next election if they (GOP'ers) didn't. Or would he be at complete loggerheads with Congress so we see nothing but his vetoes and Congrssional attempts to override? If the latter I'd still prefer it to an activist presidency of anyone else. 07-07-27 10:50:24 _____________________________________________________
red5llaw ::: Favorites Yeh..well, if the Whole Congress (or most of it) disagree's and the whole Senate also - Nothing will happen. After all the Presidents power is limited for a Reason. This is NOT a dictatorship. So Ron Paul, a self proclaimed "Constitutionalist" (As am I) will be able to do absolutely NOTHING and achieve NOTHING. 07-07-28 11:05:47 _____________________________________________________
Mosier2 ::: Favorites It appears you believe that it is impossible to achieve the liberty RP seeks via the electoral process. The problem is if we do not push for radical change there will be no change in RP's direction. Though we urge immediate reduction of government it will be gradual in the end. Gradualism in theory is perpetuity in practice. 07-07-28 12:10:36 _____________________________________________________
plc1 ::: Favorites It is a dictatorship now under Bush/Cheney, and will continue under Rudy McRomney or Hillary J. Obama. Ron Paul can always expose the fascist activities (REX 84, USC 331-335, etc. etc.) of the members of congress to the people to bring change in those offices with members who are also about freedom, liberty, and the constitution, not about corporatism and fascism. GET INFORMED PEOPLE! 07-07-28 16:43:58 _____________________________________________________
red5llaw ::: Favorites plc1 Hello SPAMMER/LIAR. You are persistant too. Gotta admire that if it weren't so bloody annoying. Give it rest Dufus! 07-07-29 05:54:12 _____________________________________________________
red5llaw ::: Favorites Mosier, on the Contrary, The change HAS to happen from the Bottom up, NOT the Top down. We have to do what we did to defeat the SHAMNESTY Bill, TELL our Congressmen & Women and our Senators, that if they don't do what want they are GONE! That we will donate to their opponents and Work tirelessly against them, USE all this momentum that the Ron Paul campaign has built up for CHANGE. Once the elected Officials learn WHO they actually work for, things will change. IT IS POSSIBLE - MOTIVATE! 07-07-29 06:00:36 _____________________________________________________
