Description: This video is a Catholic's point-of-view on the controversial video, "Pissed Catholic Mother." I talk about why this very scary woman is wrong, and why her son might be wrong also. Also discussed: The nature of belief/faith, shoes, and high-pitched voices (thank you audio editing software!). --- Update: Since YouTube doesn't seem to be posting my comments today, I guess this will have to be my response to all the comments. First: Much thanks to people who stayed on topic and commented on the video itself. I appreciate your opinions and viewpoints. I have no problem with constructive criticism, disagreeing with my opinions, etc. However, I do take issue with people who make rude comments about which they know nothing. For the record, I'm STRAIGHT. --- Update 2: I recently noticed that several inappropriate videos are starting to show up in the sidebar next to this video, probably due to all of the discussion about sexuality. I've eliminated all comments about this (unless, of course, they contain other useful information), simply because I want to maintain a clean video page for those who wish to enjoy my videos. |

camtheman1807 ::: Favorites 2007-11-02 00:24:02 you're my favorite kind of religious person! you don't try to force it on other people! yay you! __________________________________________________
pisscunt ::: Favorites 2007-11-02 21:55:51 I love wafers and wine. There needs to be more religions with alcohol. In fact here ought to be a church of booze where they worship alcohol and smoke weed. They could read into all the alcohol scripture like how rastafarians try to find weed references in the bible. __________________________________________________
prelan ::: Favorites 2007-11-02 22:39:45 its called the presbyterian churches in Britain, lol __________________________________________________
arangillespie ::: Favorites 2007-11-03 03:44:15 Kid, you have wisdom that so many lack. Many are bribed into religion when their genuine belief has died. Peer pressure can come from relatives, close family and friends. Belief cannot be forced: you do or you don't. I don't, but why should that effect anyone else but me! __________________________________________________
crg64 ::: Favorites 2007-11-03 11:49:30 Your right.I'm an atheist.I hate seeing people claiming to be atheist because they use it to rebel.I'm an atheist purely because I don't believe in the supernatural. If I try to claim to be a Christian I would be lying to myself. __________________________________________________
Clean97gti ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 02:04:30 What is sad is that this kid's mother got so upset over an invisible magic man in the sky. Its sad that people still buy into the religious bullshit in this day and age. __________________________________________________
roidfits ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 02:29:50 Teens don't just rebel? Sure, ok and Adulterers don't cheat I suppose? Who knows, maybe the kid has come to Atheism after much thinking. Teens change their minds all the time. Also, people do things for different reasons. The kid could very well be saying he is an Atheist to piss his mother off. Is that far-fetched? I think Not. __________________________________________________
roidfits ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 02:32:50 Is it not my choice to subject myself to Religion? I think for myself and I am Religious. But, I am well aware that I can leave the Church anytime I want. That is the freedom that I enjoy. So, My religion is a choice. In all western Cultures, Religion is a choice. Free society and Religion can coexist. Just Visit Canada and see for yourself. LOL. __________________________________________________
roidfits ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 02:36:18 You know, you really shouldn't write someone off if they don't believe what you believe. Jesus was all about friendships and acknowledging ones humanity. I am Catholic and I have friends that are atheist. They are dear friends of mine. My Friendships began by us having a mutual respect for one another. __________________________________________________
roidfits ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 02:45:11 I know that God exists and my Atheist friends know that he doesn't. Is this really a reason to cause problems between us? People who believe that both religious people and atheist can't get along are small minded. That goes for both sides. If someone tells me that God does not exist, then I am kind and say that is your opinion. And if they get nasty, I tell them to "Fuck OFF." Pardon my language. __________________________________________________
roidfits ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 02:52:06 You see, One thing that I can say that I have learned from Catholicism is the method for dealing with other people with other beliefs. I respect people. And Most of all, I love people for who they are, not what they believe. Whether someone is atheist or Religous, doesn't make any difference. They are all Human Beings and every human being deserves love and respect. __________________________________________________
roidfits ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 02:56:40 Right, and my friends Russian Grandfather had his throat slit for being a Christian in Communist Russia. So, I guess people groups with different opinions kill other people groups who don't share the same opinion. Coexistance is the future. Not one belief is going to win out over the other. __________________________________________________
roidfits ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 03:01:14 And it is just as sad that Atheists have nothing better to do than knock other people's belief. Believe it or not, Religion is not going to triumph over Atheism and Atheism will not triumph over Religion. So why not be the better human being and try to get along with people. Pluralism is the reality. And will be till Humanity ceases. __________________________________________________
Zombies100 ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 08:43:56 Oh ok, and all these kids getting baptised at before their first birthday and being confirmed at what, 9/10? It's all about choice for them right? Their making informed decisions are they? __________________________________________________ |
