Description: So it's part trois of Islanders vs Rangers, with the Islanders having a 2-0 lead in this 8 game set. The game was played pretty even, until reality of who was the better team finally struck and it was in the vision of a blistering Arron Asham slap shot that made it 1-0. The Isles would have the first say and last say as Jason Blake wrister a bullet over Lundqvist to put the Isles ahead 2-0. I asked a fan tonight "what is better? A 6-2 win over the Rangers or a 2-0 shut out?" He said "SHUT OUT!" I have to agree, as an level headed human being would. Nothing says "you suck" like making the rival fans who dare to enter your building sit down the entire night. Ranger fans literally had nothing to say, and many of them decided to file out of the arena when it became 2-0 Isles. Could this Isles team sweep the Rangers in a season series? Never been done before, not even those legendary Isles dynasty teams of the 1980's were able to do it, but you never know. With this loss, the Rangers and their losing fans suffer their 6th straight defeat. It looks like Santa left the Blueshirts a huge piece of coal this Christmas, oh well, too bad. |
