It's not shure. Take Alanis as an example : Jagged Little Pill made her one of the most promising singer of her time (she is) but her success vanished little by little. Who could have immagined it when she reached the success she had when she released it. I'm a big big fan of hers but I know that her commercial succes isn't always here. And even if I don't like her, Mariah Carey did a lot better in the 90's...
