Description:

Matthew Continetti responds to a caller who says that the Iraq war was based on lies and on how the troops who are having their tours of duty being extended are being lied to. Continetti replies by trying to say that the war wasn't based on lies, ignores the question about the extended tours, and then says we should ignore how we got to Iraq and focus on what we do next, and talks about the dilemma of the Democrats who voted for Bush's authority to begin with who are running for office.

Like a prosecutor who "knows" who committed a crime and ignores all evidence to the contrary, this administration, and the neocon chickenhawks who breathed death into their policy, cherry picked what fit into their worldview for their ultimate goal; the creation of an oil rich US friendly democratic satellite nation of Moslems smack dab in the middle of the middle east.

Truth and collateral damage (read many dead and maimed people and an ever escalating supply of those who'd attack us) be damned. If they had even an ounce of integrity they would have admitted this from the start, but then we wouldn't have gone for their little war now would we. They're incompetent, callous, deceiving, pompous, selfrighteous bastards, but they're not stupid. Sorry for the rant but I couldn't help myself.

The argument that "Democrats also supported this war" is so flawed. Democrats were lied to just like everybody else, and just because the voted to give Bush "authority" doesn't mean they supported this colossal disaster. Typical Republican rebuttal: bring up Hillary. I want to wipe that smirk right off his chickenhawk face.

He'd shit his pants if he had to go to Iraq. Either that or he'd cry about a boil on his pasty white ass and get a doctor's note.

Well, you can't blame him for not wanting to fight in Iraq. If he gets killed he won't be able to spend the billions that his family of corporate executives made off this war.

I know Scotty. There are no clubs in Iraq, you can't go and drive your Benz in Iraq. These are serious issues!! Come on, let the poor kid alone, he can't just give up his privalleged lifestyle to fight in a War the he supports.
